New Years Eve Party
"The best New Years ever!"... was the constant feedback we received after throwing Fortune’s New Years bash at the Del Mar Marriott the last two years. We could not be happier to have the opportunity to come back again for a third time to celebrate the biggest day of the year with all of our closest friends and fans from around the country! Doors for the New Years Eve party will open at 8pm and go all the way to 4am with 4 areas of music playing several styles of house music along with hip hop and mash ups to please everyone in attendance!
This year we are excited to bring an even bigger and better showcase of talent to the main stage with the female duo of DJ Frances and DJ Diamond performing as "Whiplash" for a very special 2x4 house set! Accompanying them in Fortune’s Grand Ballroom will be the 944 award winning favorite DJ Theron along with rising stars Frankie Le Fete and Drai’s Las Vegas resident Travis Emmons.
The Royaltree Junior Ballroom downstairs will be home to all the favorite hip hop and mash up jams brought to you by local deejay Al Squared and DJ Sanjay from Orange County. This room will combine the best of both worlds by creating a night club atmosphere but still have an underground hip hop feel!
The newly remodeled pool lounge will have the earliest start to the night welcoming hotel guests with chill beats at 4pm. Enjoy a drink or two on the patio before heading up to get ready for the big night. Once the party kicks off get ready for an earful of house music from DJ J-Sin and the Injoy artists, Chad Fortin & Jason Tokita, along side the talented Jason Whitmore on live saxophone!
Just inside the pool deck will be the 4 the DJ Lounge kicking off at 8pm with more local favorite djs along side Las Vegas residents Mike Remedy and kcMac. Come to this area not only to grab a drink but also some great food choices from the award winning Arterra Restaurant being served until 11pm.
So just when it seams like the party would be winding down at 4am and everyone is being asked to leave the property there is only one way to keep the party going: by purchasing a hotel room! Hotel guests will be allowed back downstairs to the Junior Ballroom for the SpeakEasy after hours with DJ’s DeVoy and Myron Eugene. The fun doesn’t have to stop if you don’t want it too as we’ll be providing you with unbelievable music to keep you dancing till the sun comes up!
Congratulations...party 1 of 2 is now complete! Time to either take a nap for a few hours or just power through and get down to the pool where Fortune's 2010 Resolution Day Party will kick off for the third year in a row. While everyone else is on the couch watching football we'll be dancing for another 12+ hours! Read on to find out just how much San Diego loves house music!
Resolution Day Party
By far the consensus has been, for those who have stayed a second day, that the Resolution Day Party has been the highlight of their experience! New Years day has traditionally been full of lying around watching football and feeling hung over from the night before but in San Diego California where the weather is 70 and sunny all year round that just doesn’t seam like the best option.
What sounds better is being able to take off the dress attire and slip into something a bit more comfortable in order to spend the entire day dancing and relaxing poolside with some of the Nations most talented artists behind the decks and many of San Diego’s finest people! At this point, weather you got your beauty sleep or you rockstared your way through the night, get ready for some added energy to the party from San Diego’s service industry as all the bartenders, cocktail girls, VIP hosts and deejays from around town come up to join the fun!
The best part about this year’s Resolution Day Party is that it falls on a Friday so the hours will be extending all the way till 12midnight! We highly suggest taking advantage of the discounted room rate of $109 to insure that you party safe and don’t leave the property. This year we have an amazing line up planned for you with over 20 deejays coming from all over the city and even the country to perform exclusively for the Fortune Family and friends to make sure we start off the New Year on a good note…actually a great note!
Opening up the Restaurant Lounge at 8am will be Injoy artists Chad Fortin & Jason Tokita and then moving right into the Sleeping Giant heroes Chris Cutz & Fresh One. The rest of the day inside will showcase talent from Starry Eyed Music, 4 the DJ, Fortune Music and the Get Down Society. Don’t worry football fans, we’ll still have the games on all the flat screens for you and we’ll be serving some great food all day long to keep everyone fueled!
Kicking off the patio at 10am will be Frankie Le Fete followed by Myron Eugene and a special Theron & DeVoy 2x4 set to get the crowd juiced up. Then on the decks is Mr. Las Vegas himself as DJ Scotty Boy specifically made a point to be here again this year after having such a great time last year. Coming back for a third year in a row, the original day party animals Scucho Libre & Jak-da Ripper will be raising the bar once again. We’ll be showcasing another “Whiplash” 2x4 set from DJ Frances & DJ Diamond and then wind down the patio with live music from San Francisco’s favorite Chris Clouse!
What better way to figure out all of your New Years resolutions than being at the Resolution Day Party with amazing house music, amazing people and the amazing San Diego weather!
